The Enduro is Schroth’s top-of-the-line harness for competition use in GT, sports, and touring cars. All of their knowledge of driver changes, from first-hand experience and feedback from teams and drivers, is packed into this harness design. And it now meets the revised 2016 FIA standards. The Enduro belt is designed specifically for teams where multiple drivers and driver changes mean seconds are valuable. The Schroth Enduro is the easiest-to-use harness on the market and small details save big time and avoid costly mistakes.
The Enduro 3×2 is built with 3″ shoulder belts, 2″ lap belts, T-bar sub strap, lightweight rotary buckle, and Schroth’s ZIP Adjusters. The 3″ is not advised for use with HANS or FHR (Frontal Head Restraint) devices where a 2″ would work better. The 3″ is better suited for drivers or passengers that are not using a HANS but still want maximum safety. This belt comes with snap-in ends on each belt. However, our preferred shoulder belt install would be as a wrap-around to a harness bar.
The 2″ lap belt is used for increased safety, as it rides within the crest of your pelvis where a 3″ belt would rest on the edges. The beneficial placement of the lap belt means that you can make the belt up to an inch and a half tighter. This ensures that it will be doing its job earlier in an accident event because of the quicker loading.
The lap and shoulder belts are a pull-down configuration.
The Enduro 3×2 series meet the very latest FIA standards for competition harnesses. FIA testing now includes a 70G frontal hit and a 30 degree offset hit. Certification is for 5 years from date of manufacture.
