These stainless steel caliper pistons for E36 M3, E46 M3, and MZ3 front calipers are an excellent addition to your caliper rebuild. Brake fluid absorbs moisture which sits against your steel calipers and original pistons. It’s quite common to find rust inside the caliper bores. Often it’s the rust that binds or freezes a caliper, requiring a piston and seal replacement. Your caliper may only need a good scrubbing to be returned to service. These are made from 304 stainless and then polished for smooth operation. They are a direct replacement for the stock pistons in your Ate caliper.
